This application is capable of converting PDF documents to Flash-based eBooks with flippable pages. It places many customization options at your disposal, several output methods and much more.

Flip Builder is free to try without any functionality restrictions, but the trial version will place a watermark on your work. The software can be used on Windows XP or any later version and it can be installed in less than a minute. It doesn't require too many resources, but you need to download and install Ghostscript if you wish to enjoy the software's functionality.

Creating an animated eBook is a two-stage process. First, you have to import a PDF and make a few adjustments if you need to. The main user interface resembles a simplified version of MS PowerPoint. It displays two ribbon menus, with general project options, like Open, Save and so on, as well as various editing options, for the imported pages. You can jump from one page to another instantly, by selecting their corresponding thumbnails, on the left side of the window.

If your document's pages are in order, you can hit an option, on one of the ribbon menus, to start customizing the animated eBook. The pages will be imported on a different interface and you can decide which pages to include or exclude, to import bookmarks, links and other elements. You can preview your animated document and flip its pages. Also, the software allows you to make a wide range of settings and create bookmarks, on the left side of the window. Additionally, you can choose one of many themes for your eBooks. Finally, the document can be exported in different formats, with various settings. The animation can be stored in HTML format, for publishing on a webpage, as a ZIP archive, an executable or as an Apple app.
